Public areas
On Deck 4 you will find a shop selling sundries and souvenirs. I advise you to steer clear of its treacherous shoals. The prices are unforgivably high. If you can sprint, race off the ship at one of the short stops and buy whatever sundries you need on shore.
There is a beauty salon on Deck 8 near the fitness room. The ladies there can really cut hair quite well, so it might be worth the expense.
Unlike her sisters, the Finnmarken boasts a small swimming pool on Deck 7. Not only a pool, but twin whirlpools as well! To use them, though, one has to get there early before the children take over, which is very early. The pool wasn't especially large, but it was attractively finished, with a bronze Viking sculpture and handsome tiles.
Just above the pool on Deck 8, the fitness room and saunas are flanked with changing rooms. Remember to bring a towel from your stateroom, though. They don't provide them here.
The sauna itself is something different. How often do you get to sit in a sauna and watch the mountains pass by outside your port hole? There are three of them, and the views are enchanting.
