The 633 cabins and suites are warm and appealing. The Maasdam's penthouse, with 1,100 square feet, is the ultimate in luxury, with kitchenette, dining room table accompanied by 8 chairs, and marble bathroom. Cabins like the 120 mini suites (284 square feet including verandah), each equipped with its own VCR, minibar, and sitting area and with a bath featuring a whirlpool tub, fill the bill for many. However, the line's "Suite Life" program of amenities and perquisites make the ship's 28 suites luxurious, and their 563 square feet of space includes a quite large private verandah. They include all of the mini suite features plus many extras such as complimentary laundry and dry cleaning, personalized stationery, and wondrous high tea and cocktail-hour hors d'ouvres served in the cabin. Suite occupants are invited to a Suite Dinner in the Half Moon Room (rather than a sitting at the captain's table), where a fabulous gourmet meal is served at tables presided over by the captain and officers.

The 336 outside and 148 inside standard cabins are among the best at sea in the moderate category. Each has ample storage space. All outsides have tubs, insides showers only and all have a hair dryer and wonderful toiletries. Bathroom amenities are no longer presented in the beautifully designed Art Deco liner designs used formerly. Skip the Lower Promenade Deck cabins; strollers sometimes try to peek into these rooms. Six cabins are equipped to accommodate physically challenged passengers, two near elevators on Lower Promenade Deck, four near the infirmary on A Deck.

Penthouse Verandah Suite Deck: Navigation Penthouse Verandah Suites PS feature a private bedroom with king-sized bed, private verandah, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, living room with sofa bed, dining room, private bathroom with shower and oversized whirlpool tub, dressing room, guest bathroom, pantry, minibar, refrigerator, VCR, television, minisafe, telephone, multichannel music, and a hairdryer. Enjoy additional suite amenities including complimentary bathrobes, personalized stationary, feather pillows, complimentary laundry/dry-cleaning service, fresh fruit, video library, afternoon tea, hors d'oeuvres served before dinner upon request, corsages and boutonnieres for the first formal night, and special disembarkation privileges. Approximately 937-sq.-ft. suite with 189-sq.-ft. verandah.

Deluxe Verandah Suite Deck: Navigation Deluxe Verandah Suites S offer two lower beds that convert to a king-sized bed, a private verandah, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, large sitting area with sofa bed, private bathroom with shower and whirlpool tub, dressing room, refrigerator, minibar, VCR, television, minisafe, telephone, multichannel music, and a hairdryer. Enjoy additional suite amenities including complimentary bathrobes, personalized stationary, feather pillows, complimentary laundry/dry-cleaning service, fresh fruit, video library, afternoon tea, hors d'oeuvres served before dinner upon request, corsages and boutonnieres for the first formal night, and special disembarkation privileges. Verandah Stateroom Deck: Navigation Verandah Staterooms A feature two lower beds that convert to a queen-sized bed, a private verandah, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, sitting area, private bathroom with shower and whirlpool tub, refrigerator, minibar, VCR, television, minisafe, telephone, multichannel music, and a hairdryer. Approximately 225-sq.-ft. suite with 63-sq.-ft. verandah.

Large Oceanview Stateroom Deck: Lower Promenade, Verandah Large Oceanview Staterooms C feature two lower beds that convert to a queen-sized bed, a picture window, private bathroom with tub and shower, minisafe, television, telephone, multichannel music, and a hairdryer. Approximately 190-sq.-ft. stateroom.

Large Interior Stateroom Deck: Navigation, Verandah Large Interior Staterooms I feature two lower beds that convert to a queen-sized bed, a private bathroom with shower, minisafe, television, telephone, multichannel music, and a hairdryer. Approximately 182-sq.-ft. stateroom.

Accommodations onboard Holland America Maasdam are as luxurious as they are spacious. Suites are available in three different categories: Penthouse Verandah, Deluxe Verandah and Veranda Suites. All suites offer gorgeous floor to ceiling windows and private verandah for an outstanding views of the ocean and approaching destinations.

Also featured in suites you'll find a whirlpool bath and shower, refrigerator and mini bar and extra sitting area. All are very comfortable with unbelievable amenities, but the Penthouse Verandah surpasses them all. Offering 1159 sq. ft., this suite offers an oversize whirlpool bath & shower, a living room, dining room, dressing room, private verandah, pantry, a sofa bed fit for 2 people, a mini-bar, a refrigerator, a guest toilet and floor-to-ceiling windows to boot! Exclusively available to Penthouse and Deluxe Verandah Suite guests is the Neptune Lounge, a place to relax over breakfast pastries and your favorite newspaper, or gather for conversation, evening hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.
