Dining
The two-level Cosmopolitan Restaurant features a sophisticated decor accented by La Normandie, a beautiful, seven-foot-high bronze statue of a woman draped like the goddess Athena, created by Art Deco sculptor Leon-Georges Baudry. This statue originally graced the first-class smoking room in the legendary liner SS Normandie. The dining room also has a sweeping staircase for grand entrances on formal nights, and a two-level glass wall with panoramic views aft. The restaurant is open-seating for breakfast and lunch, and offers two set evening seatings.
Menus overseen by Master Chef Michel Roux feature such delicious dishes as chateaubriand carved tableside, smoked salmon Claudine and rack of lamb Provencale. Low calorie, vegetarian and children's selections are available. Service is warm and efficient.
The Normandie 134-seat specialty restaurant features memorabilia from the legendary transatlantic liner including original gold-lacquered paneling depicting hunt scenes that originally adorned the smoking room on the SS Normandie, plus a dine-in wine cellar, open kitchen, and "butterfly service" with waiters serving, presenting and removing dishes at the same table in unison. Dishes are prepared or finished tableside. Fee is $25 per person and well worth it-you'd expect to pay upwards of $100 on terra firma. The Waterfall Cafe/Grill serves buffet-style breakfasts (including made-to-order omelets), lunches and teas with a side of sea views and casual, no-fee buffet/waiter service dinners. Gourmet Bites, including little beef Wellingtons and empanadas, are served by waiters at midnight.

Entering transatlantic passenger service in 1911, the RMS Olympic embodied the opulence and grandeur historic ocean liners are known for. Asked to be of service in World War I, RMS Olympic earned the name "Old Reliable" for her wartime heroics.
The RMS Olympic Restaurant transports guests back in time where they can marvel at original paneling from the RMS Olympic while they savor the rich, creamy flavor of Goat Cheese Soufflé with Tomato Colis complemented by a glass of vintage sauvignon blanc. Establishing a new speed record for transatlantic crossing in 1952, the SS United States made its mark in history. Its namesake, the SS United States Restaurant, makes its mark upon Celebrity guests with its exquisite décor - featuring actual glass panels from the original ship - and tantalizing cuisine.
Under the professional guidance of Master Chef Michel Roux, an entrée first served in the dining room onboard the original SS United States is prepared for twenty-first century guests. Roast Long Island Duckling a l'Orange Stuffed with Fruit is just one of a host of intriguing menu selections diners will savor in this Specialty Restaurant. |

Furnished with outstanding art deco fittings by the era's best-known French designers, the SS Normandie was considered the ultimate ocean liner of her day. Winning the prestigious Blue Riband award for speed in North Atlantic crossings five times over, she was the first ocean liner to exceed 1,000 feet.
Summit's Normandie Restaurant provides guests with an elegant, alternative dining experience with menu selections inspired by the Normandy region of France, such as Flambéed Scampi flamed in Armagnac accompanied by a 1999 Chassagne Montrachet Chardonnay.

On Millennium, the Olympic alternative restaurant is among the most stunning we've ever encountered. It has the original Edwardian wood-carved paneling from the Olympic, sister ship of the Titanic. The three-hour dinner ($25 per person) is pure theater, a flourish of waiters in white tie cooking entrees table-side and a great deal of flambe. It is the service that is outstanding here. The food quality was on par with that of the dining room, although there are signature dishes not found elsewhere onboard, including Rack of Lamb en Croute and Steak Diane. The impressive list of international wines range in price from $18 to $450 a bottle.
The very elegant two-level main dining room is located in the stern. Central to this restaurant is the two-deck-high glass windows that provide warm, natural light during daytime and a panoramic close-up view of the ocean. Tables are widely spaced, and sound levels in the room permit easy conversation. The lido café, deck 10, are the setting for casual dining from 6:30am to half past midnight including lunch and breakfast buffets, pizza, afternoon tea and late night snacks. Floor to ceiling windows and glass floor areas provide excellent views. With four buffet lines, there is very little waiting. The rear section of the café is called the Grill. It is the place for casual dinner, served a la carte. Reservations are required and dinner is served between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. As well, poolside, hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza are available during the day. 24 hour room service is also available.
